A collection of film footage and shots that capture the JOY of these amazing foster kids.
It's their day on the lake
Meet Greg Hodgin, WTW Founder
Greg Hodgin, Wake the World Founder
July 01, 2008
Just in case you've never met Greg, he's the man that followed his heart and began the journey that has become our passion. Since 2008 he has inspired countless volunteers and encouraged a plethora of young people all over North America. His vision for sharing a love of water-sports with those in children's homes has even become the fulfillment of his own personal prayer.
When not working at his painting and equipment rental business, Greg spends his time as an ambassador for kids by working with and encouraging those that would carry on his dream. And with his wife Lois by his side, he continues to dream big for the benefit of others.
What does an Wake the World do for these amazing foster kids?
Each Foster Family gets their own boat and boat driver for the entire day. When the kids see this for the first time, "This is our boat all day? Yes, yes it is." Serious joy comes on their face. They get on the boat mid morning, we serve them lunch and dinner (or desert ;). We give them an opportunity to learn how to wakeboard, wake surf, tube, try zip boards, and it goes on. We provide a day of fun doing whatever they want. We want them to give them a day that brings joy, tons of smiles and to let them know they are loved by so many.
Do you want to be a part of this?
See the "3 ways to help" and contact us to let us know. We can't do this without our amazing sponsors, boat drivers and volunteers.
